A lamp on a stand

 Luke 8:16-18

A Lamp on a Stand

16 “No one lights a lamp and hides it in a clay jar or puts it under a bed. Instead, they put it on a stand, so that those who come in can see the light. 17 For there is nothing hidden that will not be disclosed, and nothing concealed that will not be known or brought out into the open. 18 Therefore consider carefully how you listen. Whoever has will be given more; whoever does not have, even what they think they have will be taken from them.”

Take care how you listen to my Word says the Lord

Some of you listen intently but allow the cares of this world to drown out the message

Some of you hear but do not understand

Some of you hear and understand but the evil one steals it from you

So listen, persevere and guard your heart and mind and thus produce a good crop

Amen

The pillar of fire and cloud

I am the Lord who leads and guides by fire by night and cloud by day

Surely I shall cast your enemy into the depths of the sea

I shall smite them a mighty blow for they are as ants before me

No longer shall your enemy bind you in chains

Surely I shall break your fetters.

I shall lead you and guide in these days

Your enemy seeks to destroy you with lies and mockery but I shall make the truth known

No more shall your enemy be your master

But I have ordered a reversal in the heavenly realms says the Lord

For I chose you to lead the nations says the Lord

Come before me in humility and faith and I shall open the door to your best future

Surely my plans shall come to pass in the fulness of time for I am creator and sustainer of all things

 Amen

Cain and Abel: The danger of worshiptainment

Genesis 4:3

Now Abel kept flocks, and Cain worked the soil. In the course of time Cain brought some of the fruits of the soil as an offering to the Lord. And Abel also brought an offering—fat portions from some of the firstborn of his flock. The Lord looked with favor on Abel and his offering, but on Cain and his offering he did not look with favor. So Cain was very angry, and his face was downcast.

Heb 11:4

It was by faith that Abel brought a more acceptable offering to God than Cain did. Abel's offering gave evidence that he was a righteous man, and God showed his approval of his gifts. Although Abel is long dead, he still speaks to us by his example of faith.

Come before him, and offer our sacrifice, in faith.

Come let us offer a sacrifice of praise and worship to our God in spirit and truth.

For He made each one of us and knows everything about us

Let us offer our gift before the alter of our God.

When you come before your God, you shall meet Him, together with myriads of His holy angels for whenever His people gather and offer worship to Him there is unity

All things become possible.

Let the doors of heaven be flung wide open and the people be One in Him.

Let us be united in the bond of peace.

Surely I shall grant you favour from on high says the Lord

Come before me with a glad heart and a willing spirit and I shall be pleased to give you everything planned for you since before the creation of the world.

For I am the God who was and who is and who is to come.

It is I who made sun and moon and stars

It is I who hold and sustain all things by my powerful word

It is I that open blind eyes and deaf ears

I make the lame walk and the lepers clean

Let those with eyes to see and ears to hear percieve the power of the living God in these days.

Amen.

Psalm 89: A song of Ethan

....

All heaven will praise your great wonders, Lord;
myriads of angels will praise you for your faithfulness.

For who in all of heaven can compare with the Lord?
What mightiest angel is anything like the Lord?

The highest angelic powers stand in awe of God.
He is far more awesome than all who surround his throne.

O Lord God of Heaven’s Armies!
Where is there anyone as mighty as you, O Lord?
    You are entirely faithful.

.........................................

Do you know who you truly are?

God Himself has placed through His Spirit His fulness within His servants

His chosen ones

Christ in you the hope of glory

I tell you, His holy angels surround you like a sheild

They are charged to protect you, your family, your health, your finances. they carry His messages to you

Christ goes before you like a banner

His sword and sheild are you protection

Let faith arise within the servants of God

Learn to tabernacle with the Holy One

Amen.

Psalm 52 The Liar King and the Faithful Servant

 Psalm 52

Why do you boast about your crimes, great warrior?

Don’t you realize God’s justice continues forever?

All day long you plot destruction.
    Your tongue cuts like a sharp razor;
you’re an expert at telling lies.
You love evil more than good
    and lies more than truth.

You love to destroy others with your words,
    you liar!
But God will strike you down once and for all.
He will pull you from your home
and uproot you from the land of the living.

The righteous will see it and be amazed.
    They will laugh and say,
“Look what happens to mighty warriors
who do not trust in God.
They trust their wealth instead
and grow more and more bold in their wickedness.”

But I am like an olive tree, thriving in the house of God.
I will always trust in God’s unfailing love.
I will praise you forever, O God,
    for what you have done.
I will trust in your good name
in the presence of your faithful people.

'Be sure the truth will find you out', says the Lord of Hosts

'I am the God who knows you

I know your inmost thoughts

How they are wicked all day long

Not only do you tolarate inquity you  join in

Your heart is far from me

You and your household shall be castdown

Surely I will bring your kingdom to ruin

Together with those who support you

I will rise up enemies from within your own camp

They will turn on you

From within your own borders I shall raise up an army who will cast you down

I am the everliving one. I died yet still live and I shall rule the nations with a rod of iron.'

May the God of Jacob, Issac and Abraham add his blessing to these words.

Amen
